Family Law Attorney With 20+ Years Experience
I began my legal career representing foster parents who chose to adopt their foster children. After a few years, I began working for the Attorney General of Texas, where I became quite proficient in both Texas and interstate child support issues. After 3 years there, I opened my firm, focusing on family law. It is my goal to vigorously represent my clients in a moral and ethical manner while guiding them through the process.
Although family law cases are frequently resolved through mediation, I do relish the opportunity to appear in the courtroom, should that opportunity arise.
Currently, I have one paralegal working in my office, who works to maintain frequent contact with our clients and to keep me up to date on all developments in our clients’ cases. With him focusing on the office and insuring it runs efficiently, I can focus my efforts on the courtroom and trial preparation. This teamwork approach enables us to efficiently represent our clients while keeping client costs as low as possible.
We are a small office and enjoy giving our clients a more personal touch. Now that you know a little more about us, we hope to have the opportunity to get to know you as well. You may reach our Fort Worth office at (817) 842-2336 to schedule a consultation.
History of the Law Office of Wendy L. Hart
Since opening in 2001, I have concentrated almost exclusively on family law issues. I relish being in court and advocating for my clients. I realized, however, that in family law cases involving children, my clients are often best served through mediation and arbitration. This is because once you have children you are going to be a family forever, whether you live together or not. You will have holidays, birthdays, graduations, weddings, etc. that will necessitate your continued interaction.
If you maintain civility, it is easier for all involved. So, I strive to settle as many cases as possible outside of the courtroom. However, this is not always possible and I will fight for my clients if that is what is needed. At the end of the day, whether the case is mediated or litigated, my goal is a client that is content with the outcome of the case and knows that I did my very best to help them through a difficult process, achieving the best possible outcome.
Clients
I represent clients from all walks of life. I represent mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and sometimes, grandparents. I also represent children when appointed by the courts as an Attorney Ad Litem or Amicus Attorney.
Goals
My goals are simple:
- To represent my clients ethically and zealously.
- To advise my clients regarding the legal and factual issues of their case so that they can make informed decisions.
- To guide my clients through an emotional, and sometimes difficult process.
- To obtain the best possible outcome for my clients.
- To provide my clients with diligent legal services at a reasonable price.
